Droid X Bootloader encrypted, custom ROM’s far away

[ 0 ] Posted by on July 12, 2010

The Droid X is quite possibly one of the best Android Mobile phones in the world – and to go with it one of the best Motorola Droid developers in business, Stephen Bird, recently  had a chance to dig into the Droid X system and has confirmed what many Android fans have initially feared.

Stephen Bird has confirmed that the Droid X is locked down Motorola Milestone style with its bootloader locked also.  In fact, it is the same encryption locking the Droid X bootloader that is locking the Motorola Milestone bootloader, which has caused frustration amongst Droid developers across the globe.

Although this may come as a surprise to many people reading this, Motorola has already said that they are not all for modding, but what this actually means is that people will most probably be turned towards the Samsung GS.
