Apple Battery Charger: Environmentally friendly charging

Amongst the latest range of new products recently announced and soon to be dished out internationally from Apple is a product which, although it is not lesser important, is the Apple Battery Charger.
The Apple Battery Charger has one of the lowest standby power usage values of any rechargeable pack, which is cleverly done by having a set variable where the actual recharging pack itself senses when the batteries are fully juiced and then reduces the actual amount it takes directly from your wall < thus conserving energy whilst at the same time giving your batteries a longer life span. Whats more, the charger itself comes with a healthy amount of six high-performance AA NiMH batteries.
“Sleek compact shape”
Another main selling point for the Apple Battery Charger is its design – which is marketed as having “a sleek, compact shape so you can plug it in between tangles of desk wires or pack it neatly in your computer bag when you travel”. Now it has been proven that design is at the fore front of Apple’s selling strategies however a premium looking battery charging pack? Come on, Apple, you can’t be serious.
Non-the-less this looks like a step forward in energy saving if you go through batteries like a hot knife through butter, so a worthy investement it may be. Price wise you’ll be setting aside $29.
