Apple Confirms iCloud, iOS 5 Update & More
Although we recently covered Apple possibly buying up the domain name iCloud.com and building a new server complex, not even we anticipated that Apple would confirm it prior to a keynote, which they have. In a press release, Apple not only confirmed iCloud as a new upcoming service, but went even further to confirm that Mac OS X Lion and iOS 5 will be talked about in their upcoming Worldwide Developer Conference. Unfortunately, Apple never mentioned the iPhone 5 alongside it’s announcements on software, hinting at a later release date than some people thought.
Moving on to iCloud, we expect the service will allow you to store any downloaded movies, files, music, or ebooks purchased through iTunes in Apple’s own cloud and it should have a very close relationship with OS X Lion and iOS 5.
