Apple Holding Special Event September 1st

On Wednesday, September 1st, Apple is to hold a special event which will announce the new iPod Touch and other products such as the rebranded Apple TV, now casually called ‘iTV’.
Apple has always held special music and iTunes-focused events each September for a good 5 years now. Last year, Apple announced its new iPod nano complete with video camera capabilities, as a perk, in addition to a new iPod shuffle with a sleeker design and a more powerful iPod touch, which annoyingly still sported a chrome back.
This year is to be an exciting one: Apple should release the new iPod Touch with a front facing camera for Facetime, and hopefully release it without a chrome back which ruins your product within a brief pocket plunge. The new iPod Nano rumours include a larger screen, a mic for voice searches and a slimmer design.
Mashable are covering the whole event real time for anybody hugely interested, and TB will be showcasing the best parts of the event via this source.
In other news, or rather an add on to this, the addition of a $0.99 Apple movie rental service have begun surfacing lately, pushing the promotion of the ‘iTV’ in to a must see event.
