In the latest slate of Apple rumors, not having anything to do with a purported iPhone 5, world famous French designer, Philippe Starck, told a French radio station this past Friday that he was working on a ‘revolutionary’ new product for Apple. Starck claimed the project would come to light in 8 months, roughly around December 2012. Due to Apple’s code of secrecy, he could not reveal any specific details about the project.
According to Steve Jobs official biography, Starck was commissioned to design a sea-faring vessel, a yacht, for Jobs. The yacht was to be designed with 40-foot glass walls and a sleek and clean design. Perhaps a floating Apple store? Probably not. Of course, Apple, as well as Netherlands based Feadship (the rumored manufacturer) are not commenting on the rumor. Which makes complete sense if this is in fact an official Apple project.
Over the past few months, their have been rumors of an upcoming Apple-TV and iPhone 5. The iPhone 5 rumors have been around for quite a while now, but hopefully Apple will come clean about the newest iPhone in June.
