Apple sells one million iPads and 12 million apps
Apple announced on Monday that it had just sold its one millionth iPad on Friday, with the introduction of the iPad 3G helping those numbers out. Apple also announced that it had sold 12 million apps for the ipad, and a very impressive 1.5 million ebooks from the iBookstore since the launch on April 3.
On the contrary Apple was unable to say exactly what numbers of each model were sold, or whether the Wifi version had sold more, but during the Apple OS 4.0 event Steve Jobs did disclose that Apple had sold 450,000 iPads.
This comes as news as Apple has been hit by some miss trust issues, with The New York Post reporting that the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission are pondering on an antitrust inquiry into Section 3.3.1 of Apple’s iPhone 4.0 software developer kit license agreement.
