Apple targets XXX websites with keyword ‘iPhone’ in domain
I’m not going to ask whether any of you have ever come across an xxx website with the keyword ‘iphone’ in the domain name, but for those xxx websites that are using that keyword to drive traffic, Apple is after you. A key example of a website using Apple’s dominance to their advantage is iPh*ne4s.com (I’m not hyper linking it) and this 18+ website is one such reason Apple is getting extremely hot under the collar and aiming to clamp down on the owners.
In previous years, Apple has won court cases against websites such as appleipods.com, apple-downloads.com, apple-oem.com, appleoslion.com, appleosxlion.com after targeting the ‘Apple’ keyword.
Overall we all know just how fierce Apple is when it comes to protecting their intellectual rights, so website owners of domain names like the one above with porn orientated content should be very worried indeed and start thinking about a different domain extension as soon as possible.
