Apple TV Sales Figures: 250,000 sold
Steve Jobs has just announced the rounded number of sales figures for the new re-vamped and re-designed Apple TV, with the number that was spilt out of his mouth being rather modest (or small).
And so just how many Apple TV’s has Steve sold? Well, according to him, just 250,000. Now that number is not quite up there with the epic numbers of iPads, iPhones and Macs that Apple sold in the most recent quarter, but it represents initial success for a product Jobs himself has called a ‘hobby product’.
The Apple TV sales figures wer revealed when Jobs was asked a question about moving to a streaming model for iTunes. While he was reticent about discussing music streaming, he was quick to talk up the new Apple TV’s AirPlay skills, as well as show off about the number already sold.
