Apple iPhone 4 Incoming, And We Have High Expectations

[ 4 ] Posted by on January 2, 2010

With the Google Nexus One looming, and Android getting frequent updates – the latest being 2.0, and the next being 2.1, just where is Apple at the moment and why haven’t they been able to comment on the subject? Are they keeping secrets? Are they planning an assault? or are they just too caught up with suing Nokia and Pre-suing Palm (No pun intended).

I think they are keeping a secret. Could it be that they are going to unleash a monster in 2010?

If Apple do release an iPhone 4 here are the features Technology Blogged thinks it should have:

- New form factor, with a squarer design

- Camera Upgrade, should be 5 megapixels the 2010 smartphone standard

- UI Upgrade, with higher customisation of the home screen and themes

- OS Update, should be fresher and offer more functionaility

- 1GHz minimum processor (maybe even dual-core)

- New audio chipset, for a higher call quality and less ‘tinny’ experience

These are the new added functions and hardware the next generation iPhone could have, and to be honest these are the basic ones. It would also be lovely if Apple made the back of their new device less slippery and less scratch prone < perhaps a rubbery effect or a texture like seen on the HTC Hero White Edition.

With all things aside the iPhone 3GS already has a mass following because of its simplicity and its UI begging for a finger bashing. I just wish in their next handset I could customise everything without having to ‘hack’ it > and in the process voiding its warranty.

Also, the iPhone isn’t particularly good at its prime function – being a phone.

Call quality is dull, and my old relick ‘Siemens Mobile’ which has cob webs on it offers better call quality than the iPhone 3GS, thus I think a new audio chipset is viable.

Also, please don’t leave 3GS users in the dark like you did the 3G users – the 4G will warrant a true upgrade for 3GS users and could be your salvation with news that Nokia are bringing out MeeGO and Windows will be launching WM7 Series soon.

Do I have high expectations? Yeah, I think so. I think Google could have a true battle on their hands, expect there to be blood.

The Apple iPhone 4 is the best iPhone yet, and also, quite possibly
the best Smartphone as well. Apple has radically redesigned the
appearance of the iPhone 4, giving it a sharp, industrial style that
looks and feels expensive. The standout feature of the Apple iPhone 4
redesign is the new Retina Display, a 960 x 640 IPS LCD screen that
provides the clearest, most detailed screen of any current mobile
    device.Cheap Iphone
