iPad 3 retina display to be surpassed, according to The Korea Times

Following on from our very recent iPad 3 rumours regarding how an iPad 3 retina display may be making its way in to consumers hands in 2012, The Korea Times recently wrote an article surrounding Samsung and LG stating that the iPad 3 will incorporate a pixel resolution above full HD, which stands at 1920-by-1080 pixels. As touched on by 9to5Mac, the article published by The Korea Times was created in close accordance with an unknown source who is close to both Apple, Samsung and LG respectively, and that Apple is already testing displays from both manufacturers to see which one suits its iPad 3 the best:
Apple’s upcoming iPad 3 will feature an improved display to support quad extended graphics (QXGA), a display resolution of 2048×1536 pixels with a 4:3 aspect ratio to provide full high definition (HD) viewing experience. The imminent deals would assure that Samsung and LG continue to be the biggest providers of flat screens to Apple for the foreseeable future. Samsung and LG are two of the few LCD makers that are at ease with highly-advanced LCD screens.

new Ipad will have an improved display resolution , thats just great if no where for the 4:3 ratio , are u kidding me ?? it should be 16:9 ratio . 4:3 is just an old ratio that shall not exist anymore , all the new tabs computers are all ready coming in a 16:9 ratio full HD , by the price of the Ipad it should have the best thinks on the marked , and just to make one think clear , how come samsung support apple in this new ”ipad 3” if they got their own tab problems with the galaxy pad ? that doesn’t make any sense . I own an Ipad(first one) and well , Im happy with the product but disappointed with I few thinks left out like , no camera built-in how can a big tap like that no comes with a camera ? and the other thing is the speed of the system , it should be at list 3 times faster than it is . I got some lag on a few games that has some kinda colorful or something , for the price that I paid should be faster – camera built-in – bigger Hard drive (64 gb is nothing) – and a 4 times the actual resolution (minimum) , how come the iphone 4/ipod 4g come with all that stuff and they came out first (iphone 4 / ipod 4g ) no mention the size of the Ipad , is just worthless to keep talking . ah nice site btw

Samsung and Apple certainly do have a love and hate relationship however Apple should be careful of how they approach Samsung, as without them they would simply not be able to keep up with production demand.
I hope Samsung doesn’t let Apple in on the Super AMOLED front I really do because that screen is the only thing keeping Samsung going (IMHO).
Apple product are best. No other can beat their product. love it.
