iPhone 4S costs the most in India, at 50,900 rupees or $1100

If you are a wealthy business person hailing from India then you’ll be able to splash out on a brand new iPhone 4S right about now, but it’ll cost you. As noted in various technology news, Indian customers looking to purchase an iPhone 4S are looking to fork out 44,500 rupees (around $850) for the 16 GB model, and for the the 32 GB version 50,900 rupees (around $975). This price however seems small next to how much the 64 GB model costs in India, at a staggering 57,500 rupees which is around $1100, amazing considering a Macbook Pro costs just $99 more for US customers.
To give you an idea and comparison as to how much the premium of an iPhone 4S currently carries in India, Apple’s iPad 2 would set you back 46,900 rupees which is around $900 for the top specification.

Thats pretty crazy, I hear they are still selling quite well though.
I heard that too, despite the high price. I’d hate to think how much it may cost an individual in a seriously un-developed country such as Somalia, if it were ever to get there of course.
