The three best iOS 4 apps right now

[ 1 ] Posted by on July 2, 2010

Apples latest update to their iPhone and iPod Touch UI, iOS 4, sets a new app standard for developers across the app development network. Whats more, with the addition of multi tasking, there is now a whole new window open to developers of apps which coukld further push the iPhone and iPod Touch gaming standards through the roof.

Here’s TB’s three top picks of what we think are the best apps for iOS 4 right now, aswell as which have recieved the best updates.

Twitter

The official Twitter app hit users of the iPhone / iPod Touch not long ago, and was favoured due to its rampid simplicity. But now it has been spruced and juiced up for iOS 4, now running in the background and letting you tweet your thoughts to the world without having to reboot the app each time inspiration strikes (oh the benefits of multi tasking).

Windows live messenger

Naturally you might favour Meebo or any mass multi networking app, however the new and improved Windows Live Messenger app for iOS 4 uses push notifications, so your contacts on Live or Yahoo! can send you messages even when the app isn’t running. It doesn’t use Apple’s newly found multi tasking though, but you can’t have it all. A must for any iOS 4 users.

Evernote

Evernote is a smart note-taking application, which syncs your to-do lists and digital musings accross all your devices. It even lets you keep web addresses and photos, and once you’ve stored your information, Evernote indexes it all and makes it searchable for you through a simple yet slick UI. Handy for all those who lead on organised life.

Agreed on the Twitter app mate! Might not have an iPhone 4 but got my iOS 4 update on my 64gb touch.
