Tablet Takeover: Apple to ship 10 Million Tablets
Apple Inc is set to ship a total of 10 million Tablet PC’s in its first year of release alone according to former Google inc. Greater China President Lee Kai-fu, now owner and CEO of Innovation Works.
According to Lee Kai-fu’s weblog, the Apple Tablet will be confirmed by Apple CEO Steve Jobs in February and will cost (surprisingly) less than $1000.
In case you’ve been in the dark on the iTablet rumours, the Tablet will be like a bigger scale iPhone and will revolutionise the E-Book market with its huge range of Apps that will be developed. It will also re-vamp the tired tablet market, which so far has been lack-lustre in its offerings.
It should have a 10.1 inch screen and compete heavily with Netbooks – which by the way were and still are a massive hit.
As the source of this information is Lee Kai-fu, and he isn’t answering e-mails, and the Apple spokeswomen isn’t answering calls on the subject, I can’t verify its accuracy.
However the accuracy of the original post being Lee kai-fu’s has been confirmed.
Because of this tremendous hype, Apple shares have increased to US$211.64 on the NASDAQ Index, with many experts advising to buy – but with no official announcement, and Nokia’s lawsuit heading to be imminent – I would advise people to hold ( I am a self proclaimed share advisor you know
).
