2011 is a brand new year and that means there are new gadgets just itching to be unveiled from technology companies around the world. CES 2011 has already taken place, and future events are just around the corner. To celebrate this highly anticipated year, Technology Blogged has decided to kick start with internet and Broadband based gadgets to look out for in 2011. Enjoy!

Verizon LTE Phones

Verizon is about to unleash their new smartphones that are supposed to be able to run on the new 4G LTE network. Roughly thirty cities will be able to have access to the LTE network and the Incredible HD phone is rumoured to be the first 4G LTE phone from Verizon’s line. Rumours have been circulating about that phone in which it could be called the HTC Mecha. It is known that Verizon does have the best broadband from any carrier nationwide. More details will be out roughly around the middle or the end of January.

Verizon customers also have another thing to look forward to in January as the iPhone is supposed to be coming. There were rumours that it was going to come out in 2010, but it kept getting pushed back and now people are really hoping that it comes out in early 2011. It’s supposed to be the iPhone 5 and that there may be a difference between Verizon’s version and ATT’s version.

BlackBerry Playbook

RIM’s BlackBerry is finally coming out with a tablet that’s scheduled to be released to the public in early 2011. One of the key features about this tablet is that it will run Adobe’s Flash and that it will run on the QNX system. This could be a huge impact for RIM in general since they’re behind in the mobile industry thanks to Android smartphones and the iPhone. Even the BlackBerry 6 operating system and the BlackBerry Torch could not help bring them back up in the media.

The Playstation Phone

Sony has been working on the Playstation phone, which will be part Android Gingerbread and part PSP. People are still wary about how this will work out as being a good phone since most of the time when you hear ‘Playstation’ you think of video games. Sony Ericsson are working hard on it since it’ll be the first phone from the Playstation franchise, and the one thing they don’t need is for it to flop and disappoint many people who are devoted fans of the company. Mobile broadband is even incorporated so that you can go online and perhaps even download some games for the PSP version.

New Android Devices (Tablets and more!)

Of course, you won’t be going into 2011 without hearing about more Android devices coming out on the market. Google is fast approaching to be on top of the mobile industry, and they have already overshadowed BlackBerry fast and they’re still competing against Apple although some consumers have switched over from the iPhone to Android devices. Even tablets are starting to come out that are running Android’s operating system. There were rumours that BlackBerry was even looking into Android for their future systems, but as of now, that’s still only a rumour. They say that the best broadband for mobile phones tend to be of Android devices.
