Logitech CEO steps down, Revue price chopped down to $99
This is happening all too often, after a not so profiting Q4 of 2010, Logitech CEO Gerald P. Quindlen has stepped down. As well as the loss of the CEO, there has been another loss, a beefy $150 is slashed off the price of the Revue. Quindlen is a strong supporter of the Google TV box (see video below), and after a $34 million loss, Logitech state that the price slash of the Revue is necessary to “remove price as a barrier to broaden customer acceptance”.
The CEO position will be taken up by Guerrino De Luca, Chairman and former CEO in the meantime until a permanent position is sought. While we wait for the Honeycomb update for Google TV, do you think the Revue will now be more appealing to your average Joe?
