Sanyo Xacti VPC-CA102YL Waterproof full HD Camcorder

Sanyo has been making cameras and camcorders for years, although chances are you probably don’t know too many people who have them, or chose one over other competitors offerings. Nothing has really set apart the Sanyo range to be able to compete with higher brand products such as Samsung. But now there is a new camcorder in the Xacti range – a 1080p HD camcorder that is, and get ready, waterproof up to a depth of ten feet underwater.
Clearly aimed at the adventurous type, this brand new bright yellow Dual Camera from Sanyo is able to record your favorite moments in full HD resolution, storing more than 480 minutes of digital memories of 1080 Full HD video on a single 64GB SDXC memory card (albeit limited to a battery life of just one hour), while capturing 14-megapixel still photos.
Although aimed at the adventurous type, this camcorder is also highly sociable, thanks to its utilization of the convenient video format, MPEG-4 AVC/H.264, sharing videos with friends online or over blogs is now a snap.
Apart from that, all media created can also be edited and exported to portable media devices in a split second, so you can give it a digital picture retouch and you can also hook it up to your HDTV via its Mini HDMI port to view them in full HD glory.
So when can you grab it off a shelf? Well, pretty darn soon actually. Available in the US at the end of this month (not guaranteed) it will set you back a whole $249.99, with the only colour to choose from being that shown in the image above (bright yellow).
