Snugg iPad 2 Leather Case Cover and Flip Stand Review

This case marks the third Snugg product I have reviewed over the past month. Prior to this case, I reviewed the Snugg Jibitz and Kindle Denim which both received very respectable scores. Due to this, I have developed a sort of constant expectation of quality from Snugg cases. Now, I understand that your iPad 2 is one sleek looking device and finding the best iPad 2 case isn’t the easiest of tasks, so lets see if the Snugg iPad 2 Leather Case Cover and Flip Stand fits your bill, and also if it hit my new found expectations.
Review: Design, build
I’m seriously considering just creating a piece of text to copy and paste into this section of every Snugg case review. As with the prior 2 cases I tested, the Snugg iPad 2 Leather Case Cover and Flip Stand is of fantastic quality. Unlike some of Snugg’s case range, this one we are reviewing right now would fit business users very well due to its conservative design featuring leather, white stitching and a lovely suede feeling inside which is soft touch.

Unlike the prior 2 cases reviewed this case fits into having to be very well manufactured because we all know how annoying it is to have a case where the iPad home button doesn’t line up properly. At first I had a few problems aliging my iPad 2 into this case properly because at first it appeared the home and camera cut-outs didn’t align properly, however after some jigging around I managed to get it in good and proper. Apart from this human mistake, the case itself has very nice cut-outs for all ports and everything lines up properly.
I have tested a few folio cases in the past and thankfully the Snugg iPad 2 Leather Case Cover and Flip Stand’s front cover features a magnetic fastening, making it very easy to open when the time comes. On the inside of the case is an elastic handle for carrying. This case is primarily designed to be used as a stand and it performs this function very well, with thanks to the font cover of the case easily being folded back and inserted underneath the provided grip (located to the back of the case) imaged above (sorry about the cut off).
Overall I was very impressed with the design and build of this case despite my own issue of getting the home button to align properly.
Protection
Protection wise this case covers all of your iPad 2 and due to it being leather it is very tough. The smooth inside of the case whilst adding a quality feel also completely cancels out any chance of the back of your iPad 2 getting scratched, and the actual place where my iPad 2 sits is very supportive indeed, thanks to being velcro fastened from the inside.
As for bouncability I never fully recommend dropping your iPad although the Snugg case certainly feels as though it would withstand a fall or two.
Pricing
This case is available from the official Snugg website here for a very affordable £29.99.
Verdict
As usual Snugg have shipped us a very nice case aimed at iPad 2 owners, and I feel this will suit business users perfectly. So with great build quality, a great design and good protection, It is hard not to recommend this case for your business commute, as it really is very good indeed at £29.99.

I do like the look of this product and have ordered one today, hopefully it’ll be good.
There is no mention of weight of the Snugg case for the ipad 2. How much weight and extra space (depth etc) does it add?Kathy
180 g unboxed, boxed 200 g. It doesn’t hurt the size of the iPad 2 too much.
