Nexus 10 Android Tablet

Every single year multiple technology manufacturers bring out brand new Android devices for the world to enjoy. Last year we had the award winning Samsung Galaxy S II, the HTC Sensation, the Amazon Kindle Fire and one of our favorite tablets the EEE Pad Transformer which still sells well. In 2012 however things have moved up a notch with the introduction of better displays, quad-core processors and a couple of innovations from manufacturers in terms of device aesthetic. This year has quite simply been the best year for Android devices in the history of the operating system.

Now, as one of Apple’s main competitors in the mobile phone and tablet market, multiple technology hardware manufacturers are beginning to utilize Android more and more with thanks to the latest version, Jelly Bean, being super fluid and amazing on practically any device.

Google Nexus 10

The Google Nexus 7 is in our opinion to the very best sub 8-inch tablet money can buy. The Google Nexus 10, however, steps in to a much bigger market than its baby sister and upon release has to compete against the iPad. It does have a couple of amazing things going for it however; it features a dual-core 1.7GHz Samsung Exynos 5250 and an amazing 10-inch 2560×1600 HD display.

Sony Xperia tablet S

This is the second incarnation after the Sony Tablet S. At 1.22 pounds, it is light and comfortable in your hand, lighter than a lot of other tablets and can be used as a remote for your TV and many other devices around your home. It features an 8 megapixel rear facing camera, and a 1 megapixel front facing camera; putting it on par with most other tablets on the market. It has a run time of 12 hours, and it has Bluetooth.

Samsung Galaxy Note II (2)

We loved the first Galaxy Note on Technology Blogged for its super sharp display, S pen, unique apps and its overall speed. The Galaxy Note II builds on this with an all new an amazing 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display at a resolution of 1,280 x 720 and this thing is really quick, sporting a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor, making it one of the quickest smartphones on the market.

LG Optimus G E973

This is one phone that we hear a lot about as a future top product for Android. The LG Optimus G E973 has a lot of buzz surrounding it because of all the new features, and the availability of this phone will be worldwide. It has a 4.7 inch display and the battery life is said to be excellent. It is rumored to be coming in the next few months as one of the latest fantastic mobile phone deals from

PadFone 2

Asus are releasing the PadFone 2. They have finally confirmed it, and it will be the sequel to the earlier model which was released to major buzz. The concept was interesting and innovative-a phone that slots into the back of a tablet; effectively giving you two products. The screen is bigger at 4.7 inches and 720p which is the way Android always go. The 13 megapixel camera is a nice edition for high quality photo and video capture.

Overall there have been some extremely exciting developments in the Android world over the past 4 months. For us, the Google Nexus 10 is the most exciting product on this list as it comes it at an astonishing £319 and is better spec’d than the latest 4th gen iPad.
