The Transparent Toaster: A wacky gadget

This isn’t the usual post about a mainstream product nor a rant about how Apple are too critic savvy at the moment – this is a post about a toaster.

Yep, a toaster – and just look at it! No more burning my toast ever again if I ever had this. At the moment it is a prototype, a concept – but, in a few years it could be hitting a Walmart near you.

The problem the designers are having at the moment is that they can’t find a type of glass which will heat up enough to toast the bread.

I however could have sworn that regular Quartz can heat up to 1000 degrees centigrade, hmm.

I love the idea though, and as my fiancee (checks over shoulder) can’t cook for toffee maybe it’ll stop my house from smelling of burnt toast! Shhh, don’t tell her I said that .

Oooooh yeah, Technology Blogged is ditching the main stream.
