A closer look at the HTC Sensation [pre-review]

Recently a number of smartphone manufacturers have releaseed their latest Android phones, all of which sport dual core processors. The top performers are the Samsung Galaxy S II and the HTC Sensation, which are the only one ones with a clock rate over 1GHz. Both of these phones have 1.2 GHz dual core processors. Here we will a closer look at the HTC Sensation (pre-review).
The phone has a 4.3-inch Super LCD screen HD capacitive touchscreen, with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels and a 16 million-colour spectrum. The platform is Android Gingerbread and it also has a Sense 3.0 overlay.
The automatic touch focus camera has an 8 megapixel sensor and can record video in full HD 1080p. The frame rate is 30 fps. It is also equipped with flash. The camera uses Sense 3 for instant image capture, so there is no delay between pressing the button and recording the image. In addition there is a front facing camera with a 1.3 megapixel sensor.
Connectivity is HSPA+ which has a peal theoretical download speed of 14.4 Mbps. The phone also has Bluetooth 3 and Wi-Fi. For graphics and games enhancement there is also UPnP and an accelerometer and the sound quality with Hi-Fi audio technology is excellent.
Other features of Sense 3 include a customisable active lockscreen. This means that when the screen is locked it still provides a real time window to the content the user requires. This may be updates on his or her social network, pictures, weather forecasts, or anything else the user deems as important. These can be viewed by simply updating the screen. You can also access the phone’s functionality directly from the lockscreen using gesture control so if, for instance, you want to send an email, you can go directly to email via the lockscreen.
There are many other features too and HTC have succeeded in creating an immersive experience for their customers. With this phone are we beginning to see a transition between the smartphone of the past and the superphone of the future? Well it could very well be the case. You can pick up a HTC Sensation from multiple retailers such as phones4u, and even on eBay.
