Acer Stream set to land 3rd August, looks rather tasty

Acer’s latest mobile phone in the works, the Stream, is said to be released on the 3rd of August if all goes well according to online retailer Expansy’s, who sell to more than 130 countries around the world and has sales & distribution centers in the USA, France and Hong Kong.
Costing consumers just £399 per handset, the Acer Stream is considerably cheaper than many smartphones currently on the market – and boasts (spec wise) Android 2.1 (for now), Dolby Mobile, 720p video recording, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 2GB of internal storage, Acer’s own 3D UI, a 3.7 inch capacitive touch screen AMOLED display and a HDMI port.
While the majority of current smartphone manufacturers creating their custom UI’s that enhance a users overall Android experience, such as HTC with their hugely succesfull Sense UI, Acer has gone back to a blank canvas and completely rebuilt what the Android user experience should look like for consumers.
The Acer Stream is set to allow buyers of the smartphone to add widgets to their lockscreen, scroll through recent applications with a flick of a finger and change phone settings without having to dive into Android’s menu system.
Replacing Acer’s failed handset the Liquid, the Stream is set to take over its predecessor and shade a new light on Acer’s mobile venture.

This is really one hell of a good looking mobile, okay, it still needs some polishing and the 3D UI does look a bit blocky.
But how would Dolby Digital surround sound work on a smartphone? a 5.1 headset?
