Android 5.0 Jelly Bean release date, some time mid 2012?

Following on from a post a while back where we summed up what Android 5.0 may be called (we settled on Jellybean) recent reports have come out stating that Android 5.0 Jellybean could come out as soon as mid 2012, even though the latest version Ice Cream Sandwich hasn’t even found its way on to 1% of devices yet.
The report, which comes from Digitimes (Digitimes is sometimes right, but not always, and is seen as unreliable currently) got its information from Taiwan-based supply chain makers, with them pointing at Android 5.0 Jellybean being released in the second quarter of 2012.
Going against this report and as stated above is that Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich hasn’t even made its way on to 1% of devices yet, with many new ones not actually available yet (Galaxy S III, for example). Overall, then, we’d have to shrug off this recent report and the rumours it carries. After all, its cool to go against the grain sometimes. Hit up the link below for the report.
