Android Market Web App Launched
Android Honeycomb was only properly officialy announced yesterday, however amongst the Honeycomb announcement Google also completely refreshed / revised the web version of the Android Market, and how it works for you. The Market web store, which went properly live sooner than we could get hold of, has been updated in such a way that it now lists each and every app available on the Android Marketplace, much like Apple’s App Store.
Also up there is support for reviews and image galleries too, a huge jump from the old web app store which was just a ‘featured’ web page which was quite boring / not useful. Another (more exciting update) is in-app payments, which will allow for extra content, such as levels for games to be bought on the go whilst your in your app.
Check out the Android Market web app for yourself on your Android phones. I’m sure you’ll agree it’s quite a leap forward.
