LG has just announced their Q3 numbers and low and behold, for the sixth straight quarter, they have lost ground in the mobile market to Samsung and Apple with an 8.5 percent decrease in sales from last year and a recorded $128.47 million operating loss (or in consumer terms one hell of a lot). Keen to prove they still mean business however, LG has sold more TVs than ever before at 6.8 million, and managed to rake in a profit with thanks to selling their high profit margin HDTV and 3DTV range by the bucket load.

This news comes as Samsung, HTC and Apple have released in the last few months some seriously competitive handsets. The Galaxy S II, HTC Sensation XE and iPhone 4S all have their individual points of interest, whilst LG’s urguable flagship smartphone, the Optimus 3D, is now a little bit hit and miss, with consumers being wary of the marketing behind the 3D display. Within international business, a lot of companies within the technology industry have seen fit to install a platform for business coaching to help business development, whether LG are assessing this however is another question.
