Meet the world’s fastest smartphone, yours for $1350

So you think that your Samsung Galaxy S II and LG optimus 2X are pretty snappy? Well they aren’t when pitted against the Snapdragon MDP MSM8660 from BSquare, which features two 1.5GHz cores and costs a staggering $1350. This smartphone is apparently aimed at hardcore developers, and to get an idea of just how powerful this smartphone is it is based from Qualcomm’s second-generation enhanced 1.5 GHz CPU which is the latest yet, featuring two 1.5GHz cores.
When shipped this smartphone will also be packaged with features including a 3.6-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen with a HDMI port, five microphones, Dolby 5.1 audio, a 13-megapixel (say what!?) camera with 1080p HD video decode and encode as well as Wi-Fi, USB and Bluetooth. The MDP will run Android 2.3.
For those of you bewildered at this handset you can see the official marketing materiel here, of which I have provided an image snippet below for your pleasure.

The price is too high. I think I won’t buy this smartphone although this is the fastest.

I’d have one, IMHO.
It’s nice, but the downside is it doesn’t run the latest Android and i don’t think anyone is whilling to upgrade it’s system either. It’s common to see developers say they have plans to upgrade to latest android, but they never do.
