Motorola Droid 3 unveiled in China, packs qHD & more

Of all the QWERTY hardware keyboard totting Android handsets on the market (there actually aren’t many) the Motorola Milestone, or Droid, is almost certainly the best of the bunch and the third installment is soon to be hitting stores internationally. Yep, we’re talking about the Milestone 3 here, and whilst I am personally so eager to get my hands on it I could literally eat my own foot the chaps over in China have got it, already.
Ohhh yes, Motorola have revealed the XT883 model during China Telecom’s CDMA Summit, touting the tagline “the third Milestone” and a new five-row slideout QWERTY keyboard which is a sure main selling point. Important for us, the Droid 3 features a 4-inch touchscreen with qHD (540 x 960) resolution, a dual-core processor capable of driving 1080p video recording, an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, up to 32GB of built-in storage, and of course, Android 2.3 Gingerbread out of the box.
All of this has made for a seriously tempting package and minus the HTC Sensation, the Galaxy S II is the only smartphone that could put up a fight to this currently. We’ll have a review up when available.
