NEC’S 7.7mm-thin Android handset looks immense

The iPhone 4 looks fat compared to this handset
Consumer electronics are getting scarily thin now. The iPhone 4 as an example is just 9.3mm thin and with thanks to a solid build manages this well. So what if I was to talk about a 7.7mm handset which has just been launched in Japan, sports gorilla glass and doesn’t skimp on any feature to accomplish this feat of skinniness? That would be pretty immense, huh?
Well the NEC MEDIAS N-04C has accomplished this form factor, and is being marketed as the world’s thinnest smartphone and to prove this check out the comparative photo above. Feature set wise this size 0 monster includes NFC Technology, a 1seg TV Tuner, infrared port, 5 megapixel camera and an 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7230 chip.
Unfortunately this sleek device is hitting Japan only, but if you fancy one and pop on over there, there’s a black and white version available. Watch the video below to see the real deal.
