Samsung Galaxy Note on sale on November 17th in UK
I am personally pretty excited to get my hands on a Samsung Galaxy Note. This is down to a few reasons, but mainly it is because I want to see how a tablet/smartphone fairs with a 5.3-inch display and whether it’ll actually be comfortable to use daily. Now however we won’t have to wait long, as it is officially going on sale on November the 17th in the UK.
This news came from Samsung themselves in a statement, and the Galaxy Note is being marketed as a smartphone. I, as well as others though, see it as more of a tablet.
Managing director of Samsung UK & Ireland, Simon Stanford told the Inquirer that the Note will inaugurate a new “category of mobile products” and will be the fastest handset to date, “bringing together all the benefits of [Samsung's] award-winning smartphone technology and services”.
Personally us here at Technology Blogged aren’t sold on the idea of a 5.3-inch smartphone (as beautiful as it may be), especially considering we’re all happy with tablets. What’s more, is the Samsung Galaxy Note really relevant considering it’ll have a £600 price tag off the shelf? Is the Samsung Gaaxy Note really going to be able to sell itself when sat next to a Galaxy S II HD or uber cheap Amazon Kindle Fire? Who knows. Time, as they say, will tell.
