Sony Ericsson Xperia smartphones to get Ice Cream Sandwich
It must be tough owning an Xperia branded handset when other manufacturers (namely Samsung, HTC) have all but confirmed that certain handsets will get Ice Cream Sandwich. Now, however, you need no longer frantically search Google for the latest technology news regarding this topic, because Sony Ericsson has confirmed that the update will come, possibly by early 2012. In the announcement, or rather answer to a users Facebook question regarding Android 4.0, SE Italy replied (translated) “Hello David, the code of Android 4.0 was only released on November 15. Our team is working hard to provide an update as soon as possible in 2012.”
So, then, you’re guess is as good as ours for an exact date for the Android 4.0 SE update however stay tuned and we’ll update you whenever possible.
