Sony Nozomi Android smartphone features leaked
Sony Ericsson smartphone’s haven’t had the best press here at Technology Blogged we do have to say. First up was the Xperia Arc, then the Xperia Neo, but Sony’s next generation Nozomi handset looks a whole lot different and exciting in a few key areas. First of all, this handset will be running Android Ice Cream Sandwich once released according to Chinese website IT168.com meaning it could be the first Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone launch for Sony Ericsson, but this isn’t the main cause of excitement for us. We have a sneeky suspicion that the processor this smartphone will pack is going to be all together immense, and probably a Snapdragon dual core SoC clocked at 1.5GHz running alongside a healthy 1GB of RAM.
The above internals, coupled with Ice Cream Sandwich, will make this upcoming smartphone substantial in a drag race versus say a Galaxy S II or HTC Sensation (or iPhone 5?), and also fantastic for gaming.
Other exciting features this smartphone is said to be packing include a 12 megapixel snapper with Exmor R technology (we’re a fan) and a 4.3-inch HD ready display (1280×800 pixels) for playing all those Youtube HD clips you lust after. Release date wise Chinese website IT168.com say that the Sony Nozomi will be with us a few weeks after the Mobile World Congress in 2012, which sadly is around 6 months away. I’ve personally got my fingers crossed that this handset comes before that if the specifications and features of the Sony Nozomi above indeed turn out to be true, and the form factor it carries is similar to the Arc.
