The Potential security risks with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
Are you interested in investing in a new Android Ice Cream Sandwich totting smartphone such as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus? Can’t wait to get your Samsung Galaxy S2 Ice Cream Sandwich update? Well, secure enterprise mobility leader Good Technology have a nice little chart of the potential security risks Ice Cream Sandwich brings with it (above). It’s not meant to sway you away, nor make you question Android on the whole, but rather just point out a few risks associated with the new features Android 4.0 has. An interesting security risk is the face unlock, which I personally had a few doubts over in the first place; how much of a security risk this is all depends however on just how sensitive the recognition is during proper usage.
It should be noted that all smartphone operating systems – be them Windows Phone, iOS or Blackberry OS carry security risks, with the major one being personal data and the way it is shared.
