4 Awesome Cases for Your 7-Inch Tablet

There are quite a few Tablet PC’s on the market right now – from the Galaxy Tab to the iPad – and this number is set to rise significantly over the space of this year. For those who have bought a 7-inch tablet, or are thinking of buying one, you should really get a decent case for it, because the likelihood of you dropping your 7-inch Tablet is high over the space of a year.

So what cases should you be looking at? Well that’s what we thought, so naturally a post was in order.

STM Jacket

The STM Jacket is designed for the iPad but houses any Tablet PC -including 7-inch variants- incredibly well. We have reviewed this product (link to review) and gave it a score of 8/10 for it’s practicability, durability and overall good looks.

Overall we would highly recommend this case, because you can still have a skin on your 7-inch tablet and use this perfectly fine. A shoulder strap pad is provided.

Belkin Merge Sleeve

The Belkin Merge Sleeve is a number one seller in stores across the UK for 7-inch Tablets . It is made from strong woven fabrics which both look great and enhance grip for the user. This product has a five star rating on the Belkin website.

Price wise you are looking at just $24.99, a sound investment to protect your already expensive 7-inch tablet PC.

Flexishield Skin for Galaxy Tab

This case is admittedly for Galaxy Tab owners, but at £9.99, you can’t really go wrong. The Flexishield is made from “a special tough gel, which makes it flexible like a silicone but tougher than a crystal case.”

This case would be ideal for use within a carry case like the STM Jacket. From what I have seen this case looks identical to cases on eBay from cheap Chinese cases made from Silicone gel. There is nothing wrong with that, though, and i’ll bet this skin will add a lot of grip to an otherwise slippery customer.

Otterbox Defender for Galaxy Tab

Otterbox have been leading the protective casing market for years, and their Galaxy Tab Defender case is about as protective you can get, because it offer up 3 layers of protection and a flip out stand for watching movies and a whole wealth of other cool things.

At $69.95 this case is at the expensive end of this list of 7-inch Tablet Pc cases, however for the utmost protection, it does have to be said that an Otterbox is the way forward.

What case will you get?

Upon research for this post I decided that there is not the wildest choice of cases out there for 7-inch tablets. A lot of cases are geared towards specific tablet lines, such as the Galaxy Tab cases above, and so this would lead us to presume that individual accessories for individual products will be out before you know it, if you are not a Galaxy Tab owner.
