ABI: ’45% Android Share vs iOS 19% Market Share By 2016′
Everybody clued in to the latest technology news will know that Android as on operating system is rapidly making it’s way into more and more consumers pockets daily, however in 5 years time what do you reckon the chances will be that Android will own more than twice of the market compared to Apple?
Well according to the latest smartphone market research conducted by ABI Research will continue to rise in popularity across the world and control nearly half of the smartphone market by 2016. This huge market growth isn’t just confined to Android either, because Bada, Samsung’s home grown OS, is also set to see a significant rise. On this, ABI have stated that;
“Android, Bada and BlackBerry have a great opportunity to fill the vacuum being left by the disappearance of the Symbian OS within the next two years.”
