Amazon LCD Tablet Coming Later This Year
In our recent coverage surrounding tablets we covered Barnes & Noble’s new tablet / e-book reader, the Nook Colour, and to mark this Amazon are set to fire off a straight competitor in to the works in the form of an LCD tablet / e-reader mash up, which is possibly the product to replace the Kindle DX.
All of this is according to Digitimes (see coverage here), and the tablet is set to feature a Fringe Field Switching LCD display and touch panel from Amazon fave E Ink Holdings. Whether or not this tablet is going to be placed to contend directly with the iPad 2 is anybody’s guess, however if it were to be 10″ i’m sure a lot of consumers would flock for this coming soon device.
