Android Gingerbread 2.3 will hit your Desire, says HTC
Talk about backtracking on previous statements. As a HTC Desire owner up until today you’ll have been thinking you’d never see Gingerbread, and naturally you’d have been right, however HTC has now said that you’ll be getting Gingerbread 2.3 which whilst being faster than 2.2 Froyo, also plays better with a smartphones hardware in general.
On the subject, The Taiwanese mobile manufacturer said on its Facebook page that “Contrary to what we said earlier, we are going to bring Gingerbread to HTC Desire”.
