With all products that get mainstream attention somebody or something comes along and tries to exploit it illegally and according to internet security expert’s Kasperksy Labs, Google’s Android platform is set to be the next big target for hackers. This new prediction comes after Google’s Android operating system now see’s 600,000 user device activations daily, and the smartphone range which runs Android continually advances.

During a T3 interview with the Vice President of Marketing at Kaspersky Lab’s, T3 has reported that Roger Wilson (the Vice President) said “Because the Microsoft operating system Windows is the one that is still dominant in the market place, that is where the majority of hackers go. As Android grows in the future it will become more of a target for hackers. We’ve already started spotting the first viruses coming through on Android” and further added “Android has the potential to be a very big market in the future. These threats will only grow as more people use Android to do their online banking and shopping and as the system is rolled out across many new devices.”
