Another day another laptop
Over the past six months I must have had atleast 5 new laptops – all of which have been okay, mid-spec machines which punch above their weight for the price I pay for them. My current all round laptop which I use for everyday tasks for its quick boot up time for the software I run as a web developer is an Acer Aspire 5732z ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acer_Aspire ) which beats hands down the likes of Advent and HP’s offering for the sub £500 range.
I did however, after some pondering, decide to not leave my laptops fate to chance anymore and opted for some computer repair services to go with my 28 day guarantee. Well it is now the 29th day and things are looking good, it does really frustrate me that I have had such bad luck with computers in general – in fact, I could honestly say even though I run this website that me and appliances in general do not mix too well.
Ha! You say, then why run a technology website? Well thats a good question. I love technology and I love all the advances to come, I love old typewriters and their mechanical mechanisms and I love new processors and their perfect architecture. But although I welcome advance, I do not welcome me upgrading my laptop because of a break or its hardrive failing on me – I much prefer to stick it out and upgrade when that upgrade is worthy.
Anyway, see you at the other side. Or something.
