Apple’s iCloud service sued by iCloud Communications

The title of this post should make all things obvious, and this isn’t the first time a new product has come to market with an immediate lawsuit afterwards. The latest lawsuit to hit Apple in the face is after their unveiling of iCloud, a data storage solution in Apple’s little cloud (or barrage of servers if you like), and iCloud Communications has sued them for it. iCloud Communications is a VoIP equipment and service provider, although in court documents filed by iCloud Communications the company claims to be a cloud computing company as well, and that it has been using the term since 2005.

It’ll be interesting to see which way this one goes, although I bet Apple will just roll in with a wad of cash which is a shame, as i’d love to see how the Cupertino company would manage a name change.
