Did you ever need a better excuse than to splash out on a Sony PS Vita?

Yes, the price war has started here in the UK over the PS Vita, after ASDA slashed the price of both the WiFi and 3G + WiFi models with just a day to go until release. To get your hands on one of these admittedly excellent portable gaming consoles, ASDA is asking a mere £197.00 for the WiFi model and a more modest £259.00 for the more desirable 3G + WiFi version. Both of the consoles will naturally come with the pre-order pack which includes a  £5 discount Voucher from Sony on PS Vita games, a PS Vita T-Shirt for use on the Home Network amongst other things.

So far, this is the best deal we can find online, but do update us if you find anything better fellow gamers. Oh, and hit up the via below to be taken to the real deal.

Interesting…, Well technically buying the PS Vita(Wifi only)+ Pre-Order Pack from ASDA for £197 may be a ‘price drop’ on their website, but its definitely not one of the better deals around. I pre-ordered a PS Vita(Wifi only)from Play.com for £227.99, and this included; Little Deviants(£17.99) + 8GB Memory Card(£27) + The Pre-order Pack (This Includes; – Limited edition in-ear headphones with a sleek “PlayStation Vita Blue” metallic finish – £5 discount on one of the following PS Vita games on PlayStationStore: Little Deviants, Super Stardust Delta, Hustle Kings, Escape Plan – Exclusive PS Vita items for PlayStationHome: PS Vita T- Shirt, Sunglasses, Headphones, Trainers and Bag – An exclusive PlayStation Vita avatar for PlayStation NetworkExclusive early access to Frobisher Says! for PlayStation Vita.)Thus if you take out the cost for Little Deviants(£17.99) + 8GB Memory Card(£27) from the total amount(£227.99) which I paid, it leaves £183, for the cost of the PS Vita + Pre-order Pack, which ASDA is selling at £197, so you save £14 which can be used to buy an extra Vita game if you want. And if you read carefully it states on the ASDA page that; ”You will need to purchase a memory card to save games / store videos as the memory of the PS Vita is small and will only be used for System Updates!”I placed my order on-line only a few days ago, got free delivery and guaranteed delivery tomorrow (22nd Feb) on the day of release.A little research goes a long way to save you money, don’t just rush to ADSA to buy a Vita cos they claim to have dropped their prices.Right! Just to deviate a bit from the current subject;  Although I’m yet to have a feel of the PS Vita, I believe it is a magnificent gadget for the features it currently possesses. But I paid for it because of the future potential I believe it has. Fingers crossed, Sony will live up to my expectations on the future of the PS Vita. The Applications are limitless and exciting!!!***PlayStationLover09™***
