Barnes And Noble’s New Nook Color Looks Great

Do you have an Amazon Kindle yet yearn for the days when your Amazon brand totting device will reproduce colour even slightly? Well Barnes And Noble have you covered with their newly announced Nook Color update, a sort of e-reader / tablet mash up running Android (yes, Android) 2.2.
Moving on from the norm that is an e-reader Barnes And Noble have gone one step further by integrating Android on to this device and including a serious display delivering 169 pixels per inch (PPI) within 1024 x 600 dimension wise. The screen itself is cause of some argument because rather than being e-ink or PixelQI it is relatively the same as you’ll find in the majority of modern tablets. The e-reader now also offers full e-mail support (thanks Android) and an improved web surfing platform, allowing you two browse through Technology Blogged effortlessly too.
All of these specifications mean that Barnes And Noble’s New Nook Color is more tablet than e-reader, however at the very tempting price of $249 for the Wifi version, we’d say it’s a pretty slick deal.
