Blackberry Playbook will not be discontinued, at least not yet
If there was a tablet on the market right now which we would have thought would follow the fate of the HP TouchPad, it would be the Blackberry Playbook. With a mixture of high pricing and a lack of marketing compared to Apple, the Playbook has almost certainly gone unnoticed under the eyes of consumers and you have to admit that whilst it is a capable product, RIM’s recent price slash of said tablet is the sign of a frustrated company. Keen to pry your eyes away from what many think will be the next discontinued product however, RIM have stated that the Playbook is to not be discountinued, and further added that rumours were just “fiction”. These words come from RIM spokeswoman Marisa Conway, whom told Reuters in an emailed statement that ”Rumours suggesting that the BlackBerry PlayBook is being discontinued are pure fiction”.
So, then, Playbook customers can breath a sigh of fresh air after this one, knowing that the tablet in their hands is not going to be history like the TouchPad.
