Blinkbox App coming to Xbox 360 consoles soon
The Blinkbox movie rental service is going to be making it’s way over to the Xbox 360 very soon in the form of a dedicated Blinkbox app, bringing Xbox LIVE subscribers access to a massive library of over 10,000 new and classic titles instantly. Interestingly, the Blinkbox app can also be controlled by Kinect, meaning you’ll be able to pan around the app’s content through gestures and choose your movie whilst burning calories (but perhaps not enough to counteract the popcorn scuffing that will happen afterwards).
Michael Comish, CEO and co-founder of Blinkbox said on the Xbox 360 app that: “The launch of Blinkbox on Xbox 360 means that we can bring our huge library of blockbuster movies to even more people across the UK, giving them yet another way access their favourite entertainment”.
It will be very interesting to see whether a Blinkbox app will make its way over to other consumer electronics in the future.
