Breaking! Hackers steal 1,000,000 passwords from Sony Pictures
Oh. My. God. The bad press and consistent hacking never stops for Sony, and after their recovery process of the recent PSN hacking and Sony Ericsson Canada store hacking, Lulz Security has apparently hacked in to Sony Pictures and stolen 1,000,000 passwords. Lulz is claiming that the heist was performed with a simple SQL query, and what’s more the data stolen was stored in plain text format. Lulz has showcased a portion of it’s glory in a RAR file online, in which the file showcases 50,000 email / password combos of Sony Pictures users.
Sony Pictures is the production/distribution unit for television and film of Sony, and this recent hacking is a sure fire way of dampening their reputation once again on a global scale.
