Duke Nukem Forever advertisement banned during UK prime-time TV

Have you ever played the latest Duke Nukem Forever release? Well it’s a fairly inconsistent game to be fair, however one does have to admit that being able to walk up to a urinal and ‘piss’ is slightly fun / different / bizarre. In light of this, the Advertisements Standards Authority has in the UK banned the television advert for the game from showing before 11pm, following ‘numerous’ (34, to be precise) user complaints. The advertisement in question featured pole dancers and violent scenes, which according to the ASA, could harm children.
Personally, we find it a little bit strange that GTA games can be aired when the content within the game is as violent if not more so than Duke Nukem, however I suppose it’s all to do with what the viewer see’s within an advertisement that counts, and not the content of the game exactly.
