Battlefield 3

On top of being touted by numerous individuals as being a Call Of Duty: MW3 killer, Battlefield 3 is also set to cost a whopping $50 million in marketing costs, in a move to increase peoples knowledge of the coming soon game before launch. In EA’s (Electronic Art’s) supposed forecast, and as UK Gamespot reported, Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter estimates that EA will spend between $45 million and $50 million to push Battlefield 3 this year in a bid to raise the awareness of the game and possibly sway MW3 gamers.

Only time will tell whether the DICE developed game will be worth its weight, however from the teaser below, we’d say EA’s marketing might just pay off with the help of an official launch being expected October 25th, which is before MW3′s.
