Firefox 3.0 internet browser getting binned

The last update for Firefox 3.0 is going to be rolled out at the end of March this year, after which that version of the hit internet browser will no longer be supported by updates.
In a meeting and from notes taken the Firefox team, headed by Mozilla said that “there will be no more updates for Firefox 3.0.x after the 3.0.19 update due on 30 March”. Firefox 3.0 was released in mid-2008, which was to address stability, performance and rendering issues relating to quality. It was originally supposed to be discontinued in January by the Firefox team, however this move was put back for a few months due to the delayed release of Firefox 3.6, the current version of Mozilla’s open-source browser.
The next version set to be released is 3.7 followed by 4.0 – no release dates though as of yet have been confirmed.
