Fox News Twitter Hackers Falsely Report Obama Death
In the world of hacking this may just be one of the most controversial we have ever seen. In an attempt to destroy some of America celebrating Independence Day, hackers took control of the Twitter account associated with Fox News in the early hours of this morning, and shortly after posted the false news that President Obama had passed.
The tweet, which was also thrown in with a #hashtag, was placed by the hackers at 7:14am GMT and said: “@BarackObama has just passed. The President is dead. A sad 4th of July, indeed. President Barack Obama is dead.”
Fox News has since released a statement stating that they will be undergoing investigations to find out exactly how this happened, and will be talking with Twitter about how to stop this happening again in the future. In the meantime, might we suggest using some characters in your password, Fox?
