Future iPhone’s to have an even smaller SIM
Many people in the world don’t see any point to the micro-SIM, a type of SIM card Apple integrated in to their iPhone, however the real point to them was so Apple could make their devices thinner and smaller, without sacrificing anything else. So can these ‘micro-sim’s’ be made any smaller? Well thats the latest rumor to hit the Apple sphere, after Apple submitted a new requirement to ETSI for a smaller SIM form factor.
Speaking to Reuters, ETSI stated that Apple’s new request for even smaller SIM card’s could take up to a year to meet, which means it could be in line for the release of the iPhone 6.
The inclusion of an even smaller SIM in to the future generations of iPhone could allow Apple to increase battery size by around 10%, and make their devices thinner in the process.
