Goal-line technology under review by FIFA, hitting matches 2012?

It has been revealed that FIFA are currently reviewing goal-line technology, most commonly used in Tennis such as this years on-going ATP Championship, with it being possible it may be incorporated in to the Premier League by late 2012 – 2013. The suggestion comes from General Secretary of the FA, Alex Horne, who revealed FIFA are currently looking at nine possible systems for integration.
On the possible 2012 arrival of goal-line technology Alex Horne in an interview with the BBC said: “It’s possible we could see [goal-line technology] in the Premier League as early as 2012-13. It’s easy to make mistakes and we’ve all seen examples where the referee and assistant referee can’t see if a ball has crossed the line or not. We need to support them in decision-making.”
