Google Earth gives 3D World Cup stadium tour

[ 1 ] Posted by on June 13, 2010

If you are watching the World Cup at home because you couldn’t afford or be bothered to fly to South Africa, and have an interest in the stadiums involved, then Google has you covered with a 3D World Cup stadium tour.

All ten World Cup stadiums in the nine host cities can be viewed using Google Earth or Earth Viewed in Google Maps. To see all the stadium images, you need to download a tour. If you would like to know a little about the stadiums’ very brief history, then Google has that covered too as you can access a catalogue of historical images. Or, using Google Street View, you can take a virtual wander around seven of the ten stadiums.

This comes as news as England drew 1-1 against the USA yesterday, with Green letting  ball in because he is rubbish. Anyway, it is nice to see Google putting on a good show for everyone globally with Google Earth tour whilst England play dismally.
